Our History The Surf Shop CornerFive Surf Company was opened to fulfill a basic need here on the island of Martha's Vineyard: four brothers carved the shop out of the corner of an old boat shed during the harsh winter of 2004 to create the island's only surf company owned and operated by surfers. We have designed all of our own clothing, and ordered the best boards, suits, gear and accessories to sell to our customers. Finding a reasonably priced board or suit used to require an off-island trip -- not now. We set out to stock the full line of shapes and designs to suit the unique conditions that year-round surf delivers to the Northeast. If large 5mm lobster claw gloves aren't in stock, we'll get them in overnight. We are proud of our little shop and the gear we have in it.
